We all have had the black weight burning in your chest,

Buried into the cavity surrounding your heart,

Making every breath and beat harder and harder,

Slowly making, creeping its way to your mind,

Diseasing everything it consumes,

Taking you mind and body,

Don’t let it reach your soul,

There is hope,

We all here that word and usually roll our eyes,

Like that word is supposed to our saving grace,

We say to ourselves,

It’s not easy and it’s a long process,

I can’t say that it’s going to be gone for good,

But there’s a way to take your power from it,

Not let it control you but know how to control it,

It’s different for everyone,

Therapy, art, music, work,

Not things to distract but ways to combat it,

Conquer it,

There are ways to learn and make it easier,

Some days it’ll be harder,

Some days it’ll be easy as pie,

Some days it’ll feel like it has swallowed you whole,

But don’t stop trying ever,

You will be free
